Turney P. Berry Esq.

Turney Berry is a Partner with the law firm of Wyatt Tarrant & Combs LLP and is the leader of the Firm's Trusts, Estates & Personal Planning Service Team. He also serves on the Firm's Executive Committee.  He concentrates his practice in the areas of estate and business planning, estate and trust administration, and charitable giving and tax-exempt organizations.

Mr. Berry is listed in Woodward/White’s The Best Lawyers in America® and in the Kentucky Super Lawyer Magazine in the area of Trusts and Estates. He is a past-Regent of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), vice-chair of the Estate and Gift Tax Committee, past-Chair of the Charitable Planning and Exempt Organization Committee, and a member of the State Laws Committee. He is a Uniform Law Commissioner from Kentucky and has served on committees dealing with the Uniform Probate Code and new biology, Transfer on Death Deeds, Insurable Interests for Trustees, Marital Agreements, Powers of Appointment (chair), Decanting, and Divided Trusteeship (vice-chair).   Mr. Berry is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning and a Trustee of the Southern Federal Tax Institute.  Mr. Berry is a member of the Louisville Estate Planning Council, Kentuckiana Planned Giving Council, an adjunct member of the American Association of Life Underwriters, and is a member of the Legal Advisory Committee of the Council on Foundations.
