Recently, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has been focusing an elevated interest on whether or not federal contractors and subcontractors have been complying with regulations under the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA). This interest is due in part to the many veterans looking for employment and a large portion of those veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with one or more disabilities. Employers need to be aware of this increased vigilance, audit their processes to check for compliance, and take whatever steps are necessary to stay in compliance.

Join Julia M. Fuentes, PHR, CELS, Director of Workforce Compliance and Diversity Solutions at Peopleclick, a Raleigh, N.C.-based organization that provides software and services to attract and hire quality people, as she discusses this timely issue.

This Bloomberg BNA Webinar will review the following information needed to ensure you are up-to-date with the latest veteran regulatory changes:

  • Which companies are covered under VEVRAA?
  • What are the protected veteran categories under the Jobs for Veterans Employment Opportunity Act and Jobs for Veterans Act?
  • What are the requirements for job posting?
  • What are the outreach requirements and sample sources of outreach?
  • Which companies must file a VETS-100? VETS-100A? Both?
  • Do organizations need to re-survey their workforce?
