Since 1987, Mr. Johnson has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law in the Graduate Tax Program at the Georgetown University Law Center and teaches a course entitled Taxation of Financial Institutions and Products, which covers the taxation of life insurance companies, property/casualty insurance companies, banks and thrifts, RICs, REITs, REMICs, captive insurance, and financial products;  is currently a partner in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson  LLP, where he is a member of the Business Solutions Department. Johnson’s practice focuses on tax controversies and tax litigation, and tax planning.
