Eija Warma-Lehtinen specializes in data protection, the processing of personal data and privacy. She is one of the few Finnish attorneys specialized solely in this practice area. Eija’s many years of experience, extensive national and international expertise and her experience working at the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman of Finland make her a highly respected data protection expert.
Eija has handled several cross-border data transfers and outsourcing arrangements, carried out data protection inspections, prepared corporate data protection policies. She has also advised clients in numerous national and international data breach cases as well as in matters relating to electronic communications and the confidentiality of communications. Eija also regularly advises clients in general issues related to the processing and transfer of personal data, in the implementation of marketing campaigns, in issues related to special data categories, such as the processing of patient data, and in employment-related privacy matters.
Eija is also active in the field’s professional organisations. She has held positions of trust in IAPP since 2010 and is currently the local person responsible for the KnowledgeNet events in Finland. Eija also holds CIPP/E certificate.
