This assessment examines the costs and benefits of improving the
fuel economy of light trucks for model years (MY) 2005-2007. It
includes a discussion of the technologies that can improve fuel
economy, the potential impact on light truck retail prices and lifetime
discounted fuel savings, and the gallons of fuel that could be potentially
saved.
