March 21 — In Workflows, Bloomberg BNA brings you the latest in the steady stream of news about law firms and practitioners of labor and employment law.

Elizabeth A. Harlan has been named a principal at Astrachan Gunst Thomas, which is based in the Baltimore-Washington area. Harlan specializes in litigation, including employment law litigation.

Also in the Baltimore area, Donna M. Glover has joined Ober/Kaler as an associate in the employment group. Glover has served on the board of directors of the Chesapeake Human Resources Association and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Tracey Wallace , a labor and employment partner at Schiff Hardin LLP, has been named national co-chair of Lambda Legal. Lambda Legal works to advance the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, and people with HIV/AIDS.

Baker & McKenzie added Kevin Whittaker as labor and employment counsel in Palo Alto, Calif.

Also in California, Baker & Hostetler has hired Julie Kwun as an employment counsel in Los Angeles.

Another California firm, Carothers DiSante & Freudenberger LLP, has promoted two labor and employment lawyers to partner. Dawn Irizarry resides in the firm's Los Angeles office, and Amy Williams is based in CDF's Orange County office.

In San Francisco, Joseph C. Faucher has joined Trucker Huss, which specializes in employee benefits and executive compensation, as special counsel.

Four labor and employment lawyers have joined Williams Parker Harrison Dietz & Getzen in Sarasota, Fla. They are John Hament, Jennifer Fowler-Hermes, Gail Farb and Lindsey Dunn.

Elsewhere in Florida, Bari Goldstein has been named a partner in the West Palm Beach office of FordHarrison LLP.

The Directors Guild of America has hired Rachel Paster to be its assistant executive director in the Guild's New York offices. Paster will help administer the Guild’s film and television agreements and represent assistant directors and unit production managers in the eastern region.

Four lawyers have joined Seyfarth Shaw's labor practice team in Atlanta. The team includes partners John L. Telford Jr. and John A. “Jack” Lambremont and associates Kyllan Kershaw and Kaitlyn Whiteside.

The Berlin office of global law firm K&L Gates has added Manteo Heikki Eisenlohr as a partner on its German labor law team.

Two labor and employment lawyers have been named to leadership positions at Roetzel & Andress. Robert E. Blackham, partner-in-charge of Roetzel’s Cleveland office and national practice group chair, has been elected as the firm’s president. Blackham has been certified as a workers’ compensation law specialist. Paul L. Jackson, a partner in the firm’s Akron office, will serve as the firm’s secretary-treasurer. Jackson has been certified as a specialist for labor and employment law by the Ohio State Bar Association.

Labor and employment lawyer Rachel A. Gonzalez of Secaucus has been named a partner at Day Pitney LLP. She will work in the firm's office in Parsippany, N.J.
