Building on our successful inaugural Energy Tax Conference: Maximizing Value, Bloomberg BNA and Mayer Brown will co-host our 2015 Conference on September 21-22, 2015. The complex environment facing energy companies has caused CFO’s and Tax VP’s to remain vigilant and informed on ways to maximize value.
The importance of this Conference cannot be overstated as we explore topics that are very important to energy company tax and finance professionals. Government officials, policy makers, industry leaders and advisors will confer on key topics such as: industry consolidation and capital restructuring, the impending threats from the BEPS action plan conclusion, the importance of well drafted intercompany agreements in tax planning, the evolution of European company structures in light of resistance to issuing tax rulings, the latest trends in MLP’s, tax controversy developments, and how tax leaders can better manage a financial audit.
The Conference dedicates a full afternoon of panel sessions to international issues: entering emerging international markets, developments in Mexico, and navigating Brazil’s complex, multi-level tax system.
Bloomberg BNA, Mayer Brown and the Houston TEI Chapter will also host a special CFO and VP Tax roundtable session and conduct panel sessions on state tax trends and changes in sales and use, excise, property and severance taxes on energy companies.
