Bloomberg BNA courses offer the following types of credits: CLE, CLE Ethics, CPE, CPE Ethics, IRS-CPE, APA/RCH, SHRM and HRCI.  

Bloomberg BNA programs vary in the types of credits offered. To check a program’s eligibility, view the blue box titled Continuing Education Credits on the right‑hand side of the program’s registration page.

CLE Credit Details

Bloomberg BNA is an approved provider of CLE credits in all states. Individual programs are pre-approved in California, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas. All other requests for program approval are subject to state-specific approval. The approval process may take approximately four to six weeks in some states.

  • In the states where programs are pre-approved or Bloomberg BNA holds Approved Provider status, credits will be processed within one to three business days. If you do not see the state(s) in which that you are requesting CLE credit listed as a certificate option, Bloomberg BNA has not yet received approval for your selected course in that state, and the status is still “pending.” Pending approvals can take up to four to six weeks to process, depending on the location being requested. Once approval has been received, certificates will be added to the https://learning.bna.com classroom and final steps can be completed to generate certificates. 

Other Credit Details

For CPE, IRS-CPE, APA/RCH, SHRM and HRCI certificate(s), please allow one to three business days for certificate(s) to appear in your classroom. If, after one to three business days, the certificate(s) do not appear in the classroom, please contact accreditations@bna.com for assistance. 

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I retrieve my certificate after a webinar?
Your CE certificate should be ready for download in your personal classroom at https://learning.bna.com. Please allow 1-3 business days for your certificates to appear in your classroom, pending the type of credit and the CLE state(s) requested. CLE approval is managed at the state or jurisdiction level and can take up to 4-6 weeks. There are a few states that may take as long as 3 months before approval is granted.
 
1. Log in to your account at https://learning.bna.com
2. Once you have logged into your classroom, click on “My Certificates”
3. Complete the survey
4. Click “Process a new certificate”
5. Select the state(s) in which you wish to receive CLE credit
6. Enter your attorney registration number for that state
7. Download and open the certificate

For CPE, IRS-CPE, APA/RCH, SHRM and HRCI certificate(s) retrieval, complete steps 1-3, then click “View/Print Certificate.”  

2.  I have gone to learning.bna.com and checked for my certificates, and it’s still not there.

3.  I am having trouble hearing the audio on my webinar. How can I fix that?
If you are experiencing audio problems, please make sure that your speakers are turned on and the volume is turned up. Please also check your internet connection/speed, as a slow internet connection can cause audio transmission issues.
 
4.  How can I get a copy of the Powerpoint presentation featured in my course?
The presentation and additional handouts are available for download at any time throughout the presentation in the “Files” pod on the right hand side of your screen. Program materials can also be obtained by Bloomberg BNA customer care at customercare@bna.com.  
 
5.  How can I get a recording of a webinar I attended?

6.  Can we view a webinar as a group and still receive credit?
No. Our webinars are configured for individual consumption and intended for (separate) participant critiques. As such, each registrant may earn continuing education credit based on his/her participation during the program. Six polling questions are randomly presented throughout the duration of a webinar, which act as a tool to verify the active participation.

7.  Which states are your programs automatically approved for CLE credit?
Bloomberg BNA is automatically approved to award CLE credit in the following MCLE states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Maine, Montana, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Texas.

8.  How do I request CLE credit for a program?
At the conclusion of a webinar, individuals interested in requesting credit will be prompted to complete information regarding the requested CLE location and bar number as applicable.
 
9.  How long are Bloomberg BNA webinars?
Bloomberg BNA’s webinars typically last between 60-90 minutes and generally occur between 11:00 AM- 3:30 PM EST.
 
10.  What is Bloomberg BNA’s hardship policy?
Bloomberg BNA offers a hardship policy for individuals who wish to attend our live conferences, seminars, and online learning options. Individuals must earn less than $50,000 annually in order to qualify. For individuals who are unemployed or earning less than $35,000 per year, a full discount off the price of registration for the program will be awarded. Individuals earning between $35,000 and $50,000 per year will receive a 50% discount off the price of the program.

If an individual wishes to submit a case for hardship, he or she must contact Bloomberg BNA directly at accreditations@bna.com. Please include the following information with your request: complete contact information, the program for which a hardship reduction is being requested, requested amount for hardship reduction, and reason for applying for hardship. Please note that requests will not be considered until 30 days from the program date and that individuals may only apply for a hardship reduction once within a 12-month period. Bloomberg BNA reserves the right to make a final determination on a case-by-case basis. Our decision for granting a hardship is final and submission does not constitute acceptance.
 
11.  What types of credits do Bloomberg BNA programs offer?
Bloomberg BNA offers a variety of continuing education credit types based on program eligibility. Current credit types available include: CLE, CPE, IRS-CPE, APA/RCH, SHRM and HRCI.

12.  Are Bloomberg BNA live webinars eligible for credit in all states?
Bloomberg BNA CPE, RCH, SHRM, and HRCI programs are eligible in all states and locations.
