Adam D. Schurle

Mr. Schurle is an Associate at Stoel Rives LLP's Minneapolis offices. His practice focuses on a variety of federal, state and local tax issues, including entity formation, corporate mergers and acquisitions, transactions involving partnerships, S corporations, limited liability companies and other pass-through entities, tax aspects of compensation arrangements, and tax controversy matters. A significant portion of his practice is focused on tax advice for cooperatives, both exempt and non-exempt. He has advised these clients on organizational and transactional aspects of cooperative tax law, including restructuring issues and maintenance of tax-exempt status. Adam regularly assists clients engaged in the energy and oil and gas industries, helping clients qualify for federal, state and local tax incentives and implement transaction structures that maximize the value of those incentives. Before joining Stoel Rives, he served as law clerk for Justice Kristina Pickering of the Nevada Supreme Court and as a graduate tax research assistant to Professor Martin McMahon, Jr. at the University of Florida. He is a member of the Minnesota and Nevada state bars.
