ASCEND: ELEVATE YOUR CYBERSECURITY STRATEGY

Looking for some high-level education on cybersecurity matters? Who isn’t given the high stakes for company leaders in the wake of a breach. Just ask Noel Biderman, who lost his job heading the company that ran the Ashley Madison infidelity website after it was hacked or Target Corp.’s then-chairman and CEO Gregg Steinhafel, who resigned after hackers stole customer payment card data and personal information during the 2013 holiday shopping season.

Look no further.

Bloomberg BNA, in partnership with Pepper Hamilton LLP , is holding a half-day free cybersecurity event in New York Oct. 22. The event will convene policy makers, industry leaders, leading cybersecurity authorities and advisers to discuss key topics in cybersecurity with a focus on preventing litigation if you can’t mitigate a breach.

Discussion points will include everyday actions that should be taken regardless of whether a breach has occurred, an action plan for the first 24 hours after a breach has occurred to reduce the potential for litigation and tips on how to set up a cybersecurity risk management framework for conducting due diligence during corporate transactions.

I’ll be moderating a Developments in Cybersecurity Litigation session with:

  • Jan Levine , Pepper Hamilton Partner and Co-Chair, Commercial Litigation Practice Group;
  • Eric Friedberg, Executive Chairman, Stroz Friedberg; and
  • Angela Messer, Executive Vice President, Predictive Intelligence Business, Booz Allen Hamilton.

    Registration is limited.
