A founder of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Washington National Tax Services and Managing Partner of the office for 25 years, Mr. Shapiro has made an indelible mark on the tax profession.  He previously served as the Chief of Staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation of the U.S. Congress, as well as the Assistant Chief of Staff.  
     A retired partner who remains a consultant to Pwc after 34 years of service, Mr. Shapiro held a variety of positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, including Deputy Vice Chairman of Tax, chairman of the Partner Affairs Committee, and member of the Firm's Policy Committee and Senior Partner Nomination Committee.  Other roles include Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Tax Program at Georgetown University Law School and Adjunct Professor at the Catholic University Law School.  Mr. Shapiro is a frequent speaker at various institutes, conferences and other meetings.
