Former Ex-Im Head Fred Hochberg to Address NAFTA Renegotiation and Other Major Trade Issues
Arlington, Va. (October 25, 2017) — Bloomberg BNA and Grant Thornton today announced that they are cohosting Future Ready Business: Operating in a Changing Landscape, an executive-level workshop that will bring together corporate executives and government leaders to examine how prospective changes to U.S. tax and trade policy are impacting businesses. The event takes place from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2 at the W – City Center, Chicago. The event will focus on trade issues during a keynote interview with Fred Hochberg, the former Chairman and President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, who will discuss the shifting global framework, including the potential renegotiation of NAFTA and U.S. relationships with China, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. With the passage of the Senate budget resolution and next week’s scheduled release of a tax bill by the House Ways and Means Committee, tax policy experts, economists and corporate tax planning experts will discuss what’s next for tax reform and outline the implications for businesses.
“We’re excited to assemble this roster of distinguished policy experts to address the most pressing tax and trade issues — offering business leaders and executives insights that will help them operate more effectively in what is a very dynamic climate,” said Mike MacKay, President, Bloomberg BNA Plus. “This workshop will helping prepare businesses to respond to potentially seismic policy changes coming from Capitol Hill and the White House.”
