Chuck Borek is founder, CEO and Chief Counsel of Borek Group, LLC, a professional continuing education and consulting firm serving accountants, lawyers, and tax professionals. Before founding the Borek Group, Mr. Borek practiced both as an attorney and as a CPA, including five years as a partner in a public accounting firm.
He has been teaching professionally since 1989, including four years as an Associate Professor of Accounting at Prince George’s College in Maryland and two years as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he founded and was director of the University of Baltimore Tax Clinic, which provides free legal assistance to low income taxpayers involved in disputes with the IRS.
He received his law degree and MBA, summa cum laude, from the University of Baltimore.
He is the author of the Bloomberg BNA Health Law & Business Portfolio Series No. 3000, Hospital Accounting.
