Robert E. Braun is a Partner with Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP (JMBM) in Los Angeles where his practice, spanning more than 30 years, focuses on corporate, finance, and securities law with an emphasis on emerging technologies, hospitality and business transactions. Mr. Braun represents clients in a variety of matters, including mergers, acquisitions, financing, franchising, licensing, joint ventures and strategic alliances, and other corporate transactions. His practice emphasizes new and emerging technologies, information technology, privacy and security, software development and licensing, and electronic commerce transactions.
As a member of JMBM's Global Hospitality Group, Mr. Braun represents clients in the negotiation of hotel and spa management and franchise agreements, the acquisition and divestiture of hotels, resorts, restaurants and other hospitality properties, hotel and hospitality workouts and turnarounds, and ongoing operating issues of hotels, spas, resorts and restaurants. He is also a frequent lecturer as an expert in technology and hospitality issues.
Mr. Braun received his A.B. from University of California, Berkeley and his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law.
He is a co-author of Bloomberg BNA Corporate Practice Portfolio Series No. 86, Records Retention for Enterprise Knowledge Management.
