Bernadette M. Broccolo is a Partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the firm’s Chicago office. Ms. Broccolo has been counseling health industry organizations for over 34 years on leading edge health industry relationship formation and realignments.

Her recent focus is on development of provider network strategies to respond to health reform; health information technology acquisitions; electronic health information network, "big data” strategy development and implementation to support innovations in care delivery and payment models; comprehensive programs for human subject, animal and bench research; and, conflict of interest compliance and overall corporate compliance programs. Her specialties include federal taxation of exempt organizations and not-for-profit corporate governance, privacy, human subject protection and technology contracting.

Ms. Broccolo also serves in leadership positions for organizations serving the health industry and the legal profession, including the American Health Lawyers Association, the Illinois Association of Hospital Attorneys and the American Bar Association.

She received her B.S. from Boston College and her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

Ms. Broccolo is a co-author of the Bloomberg BNA Health Law & Business Portfolio Series No. 1900, Tax-Exempt Status of Health Care Organizations.
