July 11—The hourly minimum wage in Saskatchewan is to rise to C$10.72 ($8.17) on Oct. 1 from C$10.50 ($8.00), according to a news release by the Saskatchewan government June 30.

On Oct. 1 of each year, this rate is updated based on the average of the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index and the percentage change in average hourly wages for Saskatchewan during the previous year.
