Melinda Caterine is a Shareholder in the Portland, ME office of Littler Mendelson. Ms. Caterine has practiced in the area of labor and employment law on behalf of management for more than 20 years. She has practiced in the federal and state courts of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont, as well as before a number of federal and state agencies in several New England states where she has litigated numerous sexual harassment, employment discrimination, wrongful discharge and employment contract dispute cases.

In addition to her work counseling clients and litigating disputes, Ms. Caterine has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maine School of Law where she taught a course on Employment Discrimination. She also taught for the University of Southern Maine Department of Continuing Education for Business and Personnel Law and has written and conducted training on a wide variety of employment issues, including sexual harassment, wage and hour compliance, reductions in force, Family and Medical Leave policies and the use of employment practices liability insurance.

She earned a B.A. from Bowdoin College and her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School.
