Celia Becker

Celia Becker is an executive at ENSafrica, and an expert in Africa regulatory and business intelligence.  She specializes in large multi-nationals expanding into Africa in terms of investment and business regulations. Celia advises on the country risk profiles and tax and regulatory requirements of countries throughout Africa, as well as the in-country application of legislative provisions.

Celia's African expertise covers tax and regulatory requirements (including exchange control, work permits and licensing), compliance checklists, investment structuring, indigenization risks and executing contracts in various jurisdictions.

She has vast experience in liaising with local counsel in African jurisdictions and ensuring, where required, the management and quality-checking of all legal advice, assuring clients of the highest level of service.

Celia is a CA (SA). She started her career as an International Tax Advisor at PricewaterhouseCoopers and spent six years at a multi-national construction company as Country Risk Director. She is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and is the author of the "Viewpoint Africa" column in Business Day's Business Law & Tax Review, and is a regular contributor of African jurisdictional content to Bloomberg BNA's Global Tax Guide.
