Chuck Borek is the founder of the Borek Group, LLC, a professional continuing education and consulting firm serving accountants, lawyers, and tax professionals in a variety of capacities. He has been teaching professionally since 1989, including four years as an Associate Professor of Accounting and two years as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law. He has lectured throughout the U.S. and has conducted both live and Web-based seminars.
Prior to founding the Borek Group, Mr. Borek was an Executive Vice President for Tax Services and principal of Cohen, Rutherford + Knight, P.C., a Bethesda, Maryland accounting and consulting firm. Mr. Borek currently practices law with the firm of Davis, Agnor, Rapaport &. A member of the American Bar Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, , Mr. Borek has lectured frequently for both professional associations as well as for several state CPA societies, the Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers, and the several private firms.
A certified public accountant, licensed in Maryland, Mr. Borek is admitted to the bars of the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Tax Court, and the Court of Appeals of Maryland. He has taught at the American University Washington College of Law and at the University of Baltimore School of Law, where as a student he had served as Editor-In-Chief of the University of Baltimore Law Review.
