Dan Axelsen, Ph.D., is a Principal in the Transfer Pricing Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Currently based in Boston and specializing in transfer pricing as an economist, Dan has experience across most industry types but focuses primarily on financial services, O&G, and working on financial transactions across all industries. 

Dan specializes in the design and implementation of complex economic models used in the context of transfer pricing practice. Axelsen assists clients with transfer pricing planning and documentation and has published extensively in economics.

Prior to joining PWC in 2007, Dan spent three years as a research economist with ERS Group where he managed large scale litigation cases in the employment discrimination and wage and hour areas of U.S. law. There he managed a team of SAS programmers and research analysts to prepare testimony on such cases or to assist in compensation/promotion planning for large scale U.S. companies. Dan was also an assistant professor of Economics at Whitworth College.
