Daniel V. Stern Esq.


Daniel Stern is a member of the Baker & McKenzie’s North America Tax Practice Group who mainly handles tax planning matters, tax controversies and wealth management issues. He is active in various pro bono programs, and has represented several low-income taxpayers in myriad tax cases. He also has experience working as a management consultant for Accenture, Ltd., where he advised clients from the telecommunications industry.
     Mr. Stern focuses his practice on business taxation matters, including tax treaty issues and local and domestic tax planning for mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions. His client base includes high net worth individuals as well as US and international organizations in the aerospace, banking & finance, oil & gas, manufacturing and telecommunications industries.
     He has advised U.S. multinational corporations on tax treaty issues, represented a foreign company on U.S federal income tax filing obligations, and counseled a foreign-based multinational in administrative appeal following a U.S. federal income tax audit.
