Diversity & Inclusion Training

Bloomberg BNA is committed to promoting a healthy work environment — one where employee differences drive innovation and lead to the creation of sustainable results.

At Bloomberg BNA, we believe education is the key to valuing and accepting diversity in thought, ideas, and perspectives. To that end, Bloomberg BNA requires that all employees complete diversity and inclusion training on: why diversity is critical for the business, how Bloomberg BNA leverages diversity, how to create an inclusive work environment, and how to manage cross-cultural conflict.

Minority Traineeship Program

Bloomberg BNA is committed to our employees' career advancement and professional growth. In pursuit of this commitment, Bloomberg BNA offers performance-based, one-year traineeship opportunities to employees with a demonstrated commitment to a Bloomberg BNA career in journalism, subscriber relations, information technology, and sales & marketing.

In the two months that I have been a reporter trainee, I have covered events at Congress and the Federal Communications Commission. The program and the people I work with have been exceptional and I’m treated like a full member of the team. One of the best things about the program is that I’ve been given copious amounts of autonomy, respect, and resources to do my job with all the support, patience, and guidance anyone could ask for.

We are thrilled to have Bloomberg BNA as a #2014UrbanAlly. The experience that Alejandra and Kevin have had so far has been amazing ─ they are truly doing impactful work. The key to our program is having strong mentors and leaders to guide our youth, and we already see that in Cindy and the team. We know this partnership will truly be a mutually beneficial one.
