Evelyn A. Haralampu, Esq. is a partner in the Boston office of Burns Levinson LLP. She provides organizations, executives, and individuals thoughtful and experienced counsel in all aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation. She assists businesses, executives, non-profits, and governmental entities in using executive compensation and employee benefits programs to meet organizational objectives, while saving and deferring costs through tax efficiencies.

Evelyn counsels businesses in the sales and acquisitions of businesses by vetting and structuring the transition of executives’ and employees’ compensation plans and benefits. She develops compensation programs to aid in the succession of business ownership, and in the transitioning of new and retiring executives. Evelyn counsels fiduciaries in the operation of employee benefit programs and the management of plan assets. She represents clients before the IRS and the U.S. Department of Labor and helps individuals in controversies involving benefits. Evelyn speaks and writes extensively on various executive compensation, employee benefits, health care, privacy and related matters, both to professional and lay audiences.

Evelyn has served on the ABA’s Subcommittee on Government Submissions, recommending regulatory policies to the IRS, and is vice chair of the Tax Council of the Massachusetts Bar Association, which influences the development of tax legislation in the Commonwealth.

Evelyn holds a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School and an LL.M., from Boston University School of Law, a B.A. from Wellesley College, and is admitted to the Massachusetts bar.
