Enhanced Federal Court Rules
Bloomberg Law has completed upgrades to federal court rules. Enhancements include self-collection of the data, improved currency and accuracy, currency and citation displayed to users, and improved linking and navigation. This complements work completed in August 2014 to add Case Analysis to federal rules (one-click access to court opinions discussing federal court rules).
To view federal court rules, from the Bloomberg Law Menu, click Litigation & Dockets, and select Federal Rules.
The following Estates, Gifts and Trusts portfolio is now available on Bloomberg Law.

Dockets Entry Numbering Formats
Dockets will now display one set of entry numbers only, the number provided by the court (denoted as "Entry #") or, if the court does not provide a usable number, the Bloomberg Law Item number ("BL Item #"). The second number column has been replaced with an "Action" column through which users can request or view docket entries.
All users are now enabled to create custom distribution lists. The distribution list control panel may be accessed by clicking on the drop down arrow next to the user name at the top right of the screen.
Bloomberg BNA Replacement Book
The following Bloomberg BNA book is now available on Bloomberg Law:

Expansion of Case Analysis Functionality to New York Laws and Regulations
Bloomberg Law's “Case Analysis” functionality has been expanded to New York. Users can now pull up a New York statute or regulation and click on the “Case Analysis” tab located along the top of the page to quickly view opinions discussing the provision they are researching. This feature allows users to filter the relevant opinions by Keyword, Date, Court, or Topic to easily identify the most useful results. Bloomberg Law also classifies and assigns a strength of discussion score to the opinion text surrounding each citation, enabling users to focus on the legal discussions most likely to inform their research.
The specific codes and regulations where the “Case Analysis” functionality has been added include:
- New York Consolidated Laws (including the NY CPLR and CPL)
- New York Court Acts
- New York Codes, Rules, and Regulations (NYCRR)
Bloomberg Law: Bankruptcy Treatise Updates
Users can now access all updates to Bloomberg Law: Bankruptcy Treatise in one streamlined document. To see what has been updated, expand the Introduction section in the Table of Contents to open the file titled “Treatise Updates.” Listed in reverse chronological order, each update contains a link to the amended chapter, as well as a brief explanation of the change. The Currency section has also been modified on the right rail of each chapter to read “Chapter Last Updated” for further clarity.
