George Manousos is a partner in PricewaterhouseCooper’s Federal Tax Services group in the Washington National Tax Services practice. He advises clients on a broad range of general federal tax matters, specializing in issues of tax accounting, including all areas of accounting methods, revenue recognition, timing of deductions, depreciation and amortization, capitalization, merger and acquisition transaction costs, and accounting method issues involving earnings and profits, BEAT, GILTI, and Section 163(j).  Mr. Manousos assists clients with requests to the IRS National Office for accounting method changes and represents clients before the IRS.  Mr. Manousos is the national leader of PwC’s Section 199 practice and lead technical specialist of its Section 199A practice.

Mr. Manousos served as a taxation specialist in the Treasury Department’s Office of Tax Policy, where he advised on all matters of tax policy and published guidance in the area of tax accounting. He is a member of the AICPA and serves as an adjunct professor at American University’s Kogod School of Business.
