Georgiana J. Slade Esq.


Georgiana J. Slade is a partner in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and is Practice Group Leader of the firm’s Trusts and Estates Group.
     Ms. Slade focuses her practice on representing corporate executives, closely held business owners, hedge fund and private equity fund managers and other wealthy individuals (both domestic and foreign) and their families with estate, philanthropic and personal planning needs.  She also represents individual and corporate fiduciaries in matters relating to the administration of estates and trusts, including contested matters.
     Ms. Slade has been recognized as a leading lawyer for Trusts and Estates by Chambers (Band 1 Ranking), The Best Lawyers in America, Bloomberg, Personal Finance and BNA Tax Management.  She has also been appointed as a David Rockefeller Fellow by the Partnership for New York City.
     Ms. Slade is actively involved with many professional organizations, including the New York State Bar Association (where she serves as Vice Chair of the Trusts and Estates Section’s Life Insurance and Employee Benefits Committee and served as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Trusts and Estates Section’s Tax and Legislation Committees), the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel, the American Bar Association and the Duke University Estate Planning Council.
