Hackmann, Frank H.

Mr. Hackmann is a partner in Dentons's St. Louis office with a varied environmental practice including environmental litigation, compliance counseling, and advising on the environmental aspects of real estate transactions.  He provides legal advice on a wide variety of environmental topics including establishing and maintaining effective environmental compliance monitoring programs, integrating environmental issues into business strategic planning, advising on permits and permit applications, evaluating the environmental aspects of various business transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures, representing PRP's in Superfund issues, and handling other related environmental and enforcement matters, including the negotiation of voluntary site cleanups. His practice is approximately one-third handling environmental litigation, one-third providing compliance counseling and one-third advising on real estate development and transaction issues.  He received his B.S. from the University of Illinois at Champagne-Urbana and his J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law.


Mr. Hackmann is co-author of Bloomberg BNA Corporate Practice Portfolio Series No. 57-3rd, Avoiding Liability for Hazardous Waste: RCRA, CERCLA, and Related Corporate Law Issues.  This portfolio volume provides a thorough overview of the two statutory and regulatory systems through which federal law imposes substantial responsibilities relating to the management of hazardous waste and the cleanup of contaminated sites. The analysis emphasizes the issues faced by the operation of industrial facilities that now generate hazardous waste or did so in the past.
