Generally speaking, regular full-time employees and regular part-time employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week, are eligible to participate in Bloomberg BNA’s employee benefits programs. Insurance benefits begin on the date of employment. Other requirements may apply to other employee benefits. Benefits for regular part-time employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week are prorated.
Bloomberg BNA offers employees participation in the BNA Group Health Program, which includes medical, prescription drug, behavioral health, dental, and vision benefits. Participants make pretax premium contributions for their own and their dependent’s coverage at the amounts outlined below.

If an employee is unable to work because he or she has become fully or partially disabled, Bloomberg BNA’s group long-term disability plan provides for the replacement of up to 65 percent of lost income after a 90-day qualifying period. Enrollment in this plan is automatic. No premium contributions are required of employees at this time.
Short-Term Disability Insurance pays a percentage of your salary if you are temporarily disabled for a specified amount of time due to sickness, pregnancy, or accidental injury (excluding on-the-job injuries, which are covered by workers’ compensation insurance). Bloomberg BNA provides coverage to all active management, sales, and confidential employees who work at least 20 hours per week. The benefit amount is 100% of your pre-disability weekly earnings.
Bloomberg BNA’s group life insurance plan provides a benefit of two times the alternate benefit base in the event of a covered employee’s death, as well as benefits for accidental death and dismemberment. Those with life-threatening illnesses may be eligible for a “living needs benefit” under this plan.
Bloomberg BNA also provides additional life insurance coverage for employees traveling on company business. Enrollment in these plans is automatic. No premium contributions are required of employees for this coverage at this time.
In addition, Bloomberg BNA offers the opportunity for employees to purchase supplemental life insurance coverage for themselves, their spouses or registered domestic partners, and their dependent children. Enrolled employees pay the premiums for this coverage.
All Bloomberg BNA treatises are available on standing order, which ensures you will always receive the most current edition of the book or supplement of the title you have ordered from Bloomberg BNA’s book division. As soon as a new supplement or edition is published (usually annually) for a title you’ve previously purchased and requested to be placed on standing order, we’ll ship it to you to review for 30 days without any obligation. During this period, you can either (a) honor the invoice and receive a 5% discount (in addition to any other discounts you may qualify for) off the then-current price of the update, plus shipping and handling or (b) return the book(s), in which case, your invoice will be cancelled upon receipt of the book(s). Call us for a prepaid UPS label for your return. It’s as simple and easy as that.
