Oliver I. Ireland is a Partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Morrison Foerster LLP where his practice focuses on retail financial services and bank regulatory issues including consumer protection regulations and CFPB powers and initiatives, and all types of payment transactions, including compliance with NACHA rules. 

Mr. Ireland's practice also includes regulatory issues applicable to bank and thrift holding companies and to national and state charter banks, federal and state chartered thrifts, and federal and state chartered credit unions, as well as other financial regulatory issues, including margin lending.

He earned a B.A. from Yale University and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. 

 

Mr. Ireland is a co-author of Bloomberg BNA Banking Practice Portfolio Series No. 431, Overview of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
