Jennifer Roeleveld is a Professor of Taxation at the University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa where she is head of the postgraduate taxation programs, Masters and PhD’s which she also supervises. Prior to joining UCT she practiced as a Chartered Accountant and is also a Master Tax Practitioner.
     Jennifer is currently a member of the Permanent Scientific Committee of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and is the President of the South African IFA branch. She is the team leader, South Africa for the DeSTat project (Sustainable Tax Governance in Developing Countries through Global Tax Transparency). She is a member of SAICA’s national tax committee and related tax working groups.

Professor Roeleveld’s publications include contributions to the British Tax Review, Acta Juridica and IBFD’s Bulletin for International Taxation, among other journals. She is also a regular contributor to international text books and an author of Juta’s Income Tax in South Africa.
