Katharine Batista is a labor and employment attorney who represents businesses, such as financial institutions, restaurants, hotels, retailers and health care providers, in the spectrum of employment and labor claims. She defends employers against claims of discrimination and harassment, retaliation, wrongful terminations and wage and hour violations. Batista commonly represents her clients in bringing actions for breach of restrictive covenants and contractual interference, as well as defends them against such claims. In addition, she counsels clients on workforce issues and commonly presents and trains on employment law topics before local and state industry and human resources organizations.

Batista currently serves on SEPA SHRM’s Board as the VP of Programming. In 2017-2019, she was selected by SuperLawyers to the Pennsylvania Rising Stars lists. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut, where she graduated with honors, and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, where she graduated magna cum laude. Batista is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
