Brian Lepard, the Law Alumni Professor of Law at the Nebraska College of Law, is a leading expert in the fields of tax law, international law, and comparative law. Professor Lepard joined the faculty in 1995. From 1989-95, he practiced tax law as an associate with the Philadelphia-based law firm of Dechert Price & Rhoads, with a special focus on international tax law as well as exempt organizations law.
Professor Lepard has multidisciplinary scholarly and teaching interests in the fields of tax and business law, including international tax law; international human rights law; humanitarian intervention; international legal theory; comparative law, including comparative religious law; ethics; and world religions.
Professor Lepard serves as Director of Law College Programs of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Forsythe Family Program on Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs. He is the faculty adviser for the Law College’s program of concentrated study on international human rights law.
He received his B.A. from Princeton University and his J.D. from Yale Law School.
Professor Lepard is co-author of the Bloomberg BNA Health Law & Business Portfolio Series No. 2000, Unrelated Business Income Tax Issues in Health Care.
