Amy F. Lerman is a Member of Epstein Becker & Green’s Health Care and Life Sciences practice in the firm’s Washington, DC office. Ms. Lerman focuses her practice on a variety of regulatory and transactional health care matters, including telehealth and telemedicine, government investigations, corporate compliance, and Medicare program integrity auditing and monitoring. She represents a variety of health care providers and organizations, as well as investors and other financial institutions that invest in or support the health care industry.

Ms. Lerman has significant experience advising clients on regulatory considerations related to telehealth/telemedicine and other mobile heath and health technology issues, including regulatory compliance, reimbursement, coverage, and policy issues related to the use of telehealth, telemedicine, mobile health, and related health technology platforms; compliance with state and federal laws affecting provision of telehealth/telemedicine services, including issues related to practice of medicine/scope of practice, licensure, online prescribing, reimbursement and coverage, privacy and security, and risk management; and regulatory issues in establishing regional and national telemedicine networks.

Ms. Lerman earned her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.P.H. from Columbia University, and her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Health Care Law & Policy.

She is admitted to the District of Columbia bar and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, where she is a member of the Fraud and Abuse Practice Group Compliance Committee.
