Mantas Juozaitis is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution practice group of Motieka & Audzevicius. He is based in the firm’s Vilnius office.
Mantas provides business and tax law advice for businesses expanding in the CIS and EU markets. His areas of expertise include general business disputes, arbitration, tax litigation and planning, international trade disputes, investment disputes, EU and competition litigation.
Tax law occupies a prominent place in Mantas' experience making him a key member in our tax litigation team. His understanding of a wide area of law besides taxation enables him to provide out-of-the-box solutions as well as to understand the business thinking of our clients and provide solutions to their needs. Mantas also advises on tax planning in investment decisions, taking into consideration multi-jurisdictional taxation systems. Providing watertight advice on the specifics of taxation, he consults our key clients engaged in business and investment ventures through various types of legal vehicles.
Mantas is also highly experienced in international commercial arbitration. He serves as an arbitrator in the Riga Permanent Court of Arbitrage, Latvia. He has successfully represented clients in LCIA, GAFTA and FOSFA arbitration institutions in addition to Moscow and Vilnius Courts of Commercial Arbitration.
During his practice, Mantas has accrued in-depth expertise in manufacturing, retail, financial services and agricultural industries. In particular, he has worked on successfully representing a major Lithuanian agricultural conglomerate against governmental authorities and represented a foreign real estate developer against the company's shareholder in Lithuania who had breached their contractual obligations.
Mantas joined Motieka & Audzevičius in 2009, after having worked as in-house counsel in a major Lithuanian agricultural conglomerate for seven years. His working languages are English, Russian, and Lithuanian.
