A Managing Director at KPMG in Los Angeles, California, Mark has over 20 years transactional experience in planning and structuring taxable and tax-free acquisitions, reorganizations, spin-offs, joint ventures, and consolidated groups including stock basis and earnings & profits (E&P) studies. His practice includes preparation of tax opinions and ruling requests for private and public companies. Mark has been involved in many strategic acquisitions for U.S. and foreign public and private corporations, as well as “platform” and “add-on” acquisitions, “roll-up” transactions, and recapitalizations by private equity groups. He advises clients on sell-side strategies targeted at optimizing tax efficiency of transactions for the sellers, as well as, advising clients in connection with the tax aspects of debt restructurings and bankruptcies.

Prior to joining KPMG in January 2015, Mark was a Mergers and Acquisitions Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers for more than ten years. Additionally he worked in Mergers and Acquisitions in the National Office West of Ernst & Young from 1998 -2005.
