Mary Gillmarten

Mary Gillmarten joined Bloomberg BNA in October 2015. Mary edits U.S. International reference publications including U.S. inbound and outbound international tax Portfolios and manuscripts. Before joining Bloomberg BNA, Mary worked as a senior regulatory advisor in the Federal Insurance Office at the U.S. Treasury Department where she worked on prudential aspects of international insurance matters under the Dodd-Frank Act. Prior to that Mary was a senior manager in the Washington National Tax Office of Deloitte Tax LLP where she advised clients on a broad range of cross-border and domestic tax matters and specialized in the insurance industry and insurance products, including captive insurance matters. Prior to joining Deloitte, Mary was an attorney advisor in the Office of the International Tax Counsel where she was the primary author of subpart F and foreign tax credit regulations and in the Offices of the Associate Chief Counsel (International) and (Domestic) at the Internal Revenue Service.  

Mary has taught international tax law as a visiting professor at the University of Notre Dame Law School and as an adjunct professor of law at George Mason School of Law.
