Andrew McBride is a Partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Wiley Rein LLP. Mr. McBride specializes in legal issues surrounding wireless technologies, the Internet, and all forms of new media, including copyright, patent, federal preemption defenses, class action defense, enforcement of arbitration clauses, and First Amendment protection for commercial speech.

He also has extensive experience defending enforcement actions before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), state public utility commissions, and state attorneys general.

Mr. McBride served 10 years in the Department of Justice, including seven as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the “Rocket Docket” in the Eastern District of Virginia. He also clerked to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.

Mr. McBride earned a B.A., magna cum laude, from the College of the Holy Cross and his J.D., with distinction, from Stanford Law School.
