Ann McCrackin is the President of Black Hills IP and Of Counsel with Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner P.A. Ms. McCrackin's practice focuses on computer architecture, software, and business methods. As a Shareholder at Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner, Ms. McCrackin specialized in international patent protection and reexamination practice. Ms. McCrackin is frequently invited to speak on various patent prosecution topics.

Before becoming President of Black Hills IP, Ms. McCrackin was a Professor of Law and the Director of the nationally recognized Patent Prosecution and Procedure Program at Franklin Pierce Law Center (now the University of New Hampshire School of Law). At Franklin Pierce, she directed the program and taught courses in advanced aspects of practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Ms. McCrackin received her B.S. from Iowa State University and her J.D. from the Franklin Pierce Law Center.

She is an Editor-in-Chief of the AIPLA/Bloomberg BNA treatise Electronic and Software Patents: Law and Practice.
