Megan Holstein is a Principal in the Denver office of Jackson Lewis, P.C. Her practice focuses on disability benefits, leave of absence, workplace accommodations, and related programs.

Ms. Holstein advises and represents employers regarding disability, paid sick and family leave, accommodation administration, compliance audits, policies, training, and leave and accommodation program administration. She  has extensive experience focusing on the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and their state law equivalents as well as on disability and family leave benefits, including ERISA as it pertains to short and long-term disability plans and statutory disability and paid family leave.

Ms. Holstein's background includes employment law counseling on matters such as HR audit assistance, defense of EEOC and workplace discrimination claims, manager and employment law training, and workplace investigations. She was employed as Vice President of Compliance for a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) of disability benefits, leave of absence, and accommodation programs as well as in-house employment counsel for two publicly traded companies. Ms. Holstein has managed her own consulting and law firm, where she provided legal counsel regarding all employment matters and conducted compliance audits, training, and workplace investigations. Prior to her in-house counsel positions and consulting firm, Ms. Holstein in private practice represented clients in state and federal courts and agency proceedings in all areas of employment law.

Ms. Holstein is an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado School of Law where she teaches Employee Benefits Law.
