Michael Nixon is an Economist and Transfer Pricing Consultant with Baker & McKenzie, Singapore. As well as being an Economist, Mr. Nixon is a qualified tax advisor and qualified financial analyst (CTA, ATT, AFPC and FPC qualifications held) with several years of experience advising clients across a broad range of sectors. His specialties include: Economic and econometric analysis, intellectual property valuation, market definition, transfer pricing and thin capitalization studies, liaison and negotiation with tax authorities, tax-effective supply chain management and financial analysis. At Baker & McKenzie, Mr. Nixon manages the transfer pricing offering in Baker McKenzie's joint office for Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia where they offer a full suite of transfer pricing and valuations services including core documentation and compliance, dispute resolution, APAs, business restructuring and intellectual property valuation.
     Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie in 2013, Michael was a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young where he was the Asia thought leadership head in charge of business development, project management and delivery of a broad range of value chain transformation / TESCM, intellectual property valuation and transfer pricing projects. He has also held positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG.
