Minimum Wages to Increase Oct. 1 for Two China Provinces

The range of monthly minimum wages for full-time employees and range of hourly minimum wages for part-time employees are to increase Oct. 1 for China’s provinces of Henan and Jilin, the provincial governments said.

Henan’s monthly minimum wages for full-time employees are to range from 1,420 yuan ($217.40) to 1,720 yuan ($263.33) effective Oct. 1, compared with the current range of 1,300 yuan ($199.03) to 1,600 yuan ($244.96), the provincial government said Sept. 7. Hourly minimum wages for part-time employees in the province are to range from 13 yuan ($1.99) to 16 yuan ($2.45) effective Oct. 1, compared with the current range of 12 yuan ($1.84) to 15 yuan ($2.30).

Jilin’s monthly minimum wages for full-time employees are to range from 1,480 yuan ($226.59) to 1,780 yuan ($272.52) effective Oct. 1, compared with the current range of 1,280 yuan ($195.97) to 1,480 yuan ($226.59), the provincial government said Sept. 1. Hourly minimum wages for part-time employees in the province are to range from 14 yuan ($2.14) to 17 yuan ($2.60) effective Oct. 1, compared with the current range of 11.5 yuan ($1.76) to 13.5 yuan ($2.07).
