Gina Mitchell is the President of the Stable Value Investment Association (SVIA), which is the voice for stable value funds, an asset class in many defined contribution plans. She has served as SVIA president since 1998. She leads SVIA's initiatives with policymakers and regulators, which include Congress, the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Commodities Futures Trading Commission, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of Treasury, among others, on a broad range of issues from accounting to the fundamentals of stable value. Ms. Mitchell graduated from East Tennessee State University with BA in Management and Marketing with a minor in Accounting. She is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist.
