Clayton G. Northouse is an Associate in the Litigation practice of Sidley Austin LLP's Washington, D.C., office. Mr. Northouse has co-authored briefs and motions in the U.S. Supreme Court and the D.C. Court of Appeals. He also has advised clients as to the legal implications of privacy and cybersecurity matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Northouse served as a law clerk to the Honorable D. Michael Fisher of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He completed a Pro Bono fellowship with the Barbara McDowell Appellate Advocacy Project at the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia.

Mr. Northouse was an information policy analyst at OMB Watch and the program manager of the Computer Ethics Institute.

Mr. Northouse earned his B.A. from Reed College, an M.A. from the University of Maryland, and his law degree, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center.

 

 He is a co-author of Bloomberg BNA Corporate Practice Portfolio Series No. 500, FTC Enforcement.
