Mark A. Paolillo is a Principal at Ryan, LLC where he leads the Abandoned and Unclaimed Property practice. Mr. Paolillo and his team and his team assist corporations with various unclaimed property projects involving risk assessments, voluntary compliance initiatives, representation for companies undergoing unclaimed property audits, development of policies and procedures for handling unclaimed property, and negotiations on settlements with state unclaimed property administrators.

Mr. Paolillo has more than 28 years of public accounting experience serving clients in a variety of industries, and lectures on various tax topics for Ryan clients. Additionally, he has appeared as a speaker for the Council On State Taxation, Greenberg Traurig LLP Unclaimed Property Webinars, Tax Executives Institute, and the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization.  He received his B.S. from Northeastern University and his M.B.A. from Boston College, and an M.S.T. from Bentley University.

He is a co-author of Bloomberg BNA Corporate Practice Portfolio Series No. 74-3rd, Unclaimed Property.  This portfolio volume discusses the law concerning unclaimed property, which has been in effect in various states, in one form or another, since at least the early 1800s, but has become in recent years a much more important source of revenue to the states, and, therefore, a much more serious matter for corporations.
