Paul Howell

Paul Howell is a Mergers and Acquisition Tax partner of the Dallas office of Grant Thornton, and he leads the Grant Thornton's Central Region for M&A Tax Services. Howell serves corporate clients in the technology, manufacturing, distribution, retail and communications industries. He has experience in leading complex due diligence reviews, structuring M&As, representing clients in large-case IRS audits, and designing multi-jurisdictional tax planning strategies. Howell has worked on both financial and strategic acquisitions, focusing on both due diligence and the efficient tax planning and structuring of buy-side and sell-side transactions. He has been involved with deals ranging in price from millions to multi-billions of dollars. Prior to becoming a partner at Grant Thornton, Paul was a tax partner at one the "Big 4" accounting firms, and has over 30 years of experience in public accounting.
