President Obama to Visit Flint, Hear From Residents About Drinking Water Crisis

President Barack Obama visits Flint next week--a trip in response to the city’s lead-contaminated drinking water.

His May 4 visit comes months after he declared a state of emergency for the city of about 100,000. Flint’s water was contaminated following a switch in April 2014 of the city’s water source to the Flint River without using corrosion controls.
