Richard J. Wuermli, Certified Tax Expert with Federal Diploma and CFP, worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1981 to 1987. Afterwards, Richard joined Deloitte in 1987 in Zurich and in 1989 was named Partner-in-Charge of the tax and legal department. In 1998 he founded TAX EXPERT International Ltd. in Zurich, St. Gall and Zug and was named Managing Partner. He is specialized in national and international reorganizations of stock-quoted companies and MNEs, M&A transactions, split-offs and spin-offs, financing structures and transfer pricing.

Richard is a recognized author and speaker at national and international tax conferences. He is the author of countless articles on Swiss and international taxation, and has contributed to the IBFD's loose-leaf publication 'The International Guide to Mergers and Acquisitions'. He is the author of the book 'Mergers and Acquisitions in Switzerland - National and Transnational', published by the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD), Amsterdam. Richard is a co-author of the 'Kompendium des Luftrechts' (aviation law) of the University of Cologne, published by Carl Heymanns Verlag, Germany as well as of 'Festgabe Wassermeyer, Doppelbesteuerungsabkommen' (an extensive commemorative publication on double tax treaties for Professor F. Wassermeyer's anniversary), published by Verlag C.H.BECK, Munich.

Mr. Wuermli is a member of the traditional guild 'Kämbel' in Zurich, which was established in 1336. He is also a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), the International Bar Association (IBA), the American Bar Association (ABA), the German Bar Association (DAI) and the Expert Suisse Association. Richard is a board member of the Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce where he is responsible for the tax section.
