SCOTUS Examines Limits of Brady in Infamous Murder Case


In 1984, Catherine Fuller’s sodomy and murder hypnotized and horrified D.C. But now seven of those convicted of her death are asking the justices of the U.S. Supreme Court—a few of whom were living in the District when the infamous crime occurred—to throw out their convictions.

As Bloomberg BNA’s Jessica DaSilva explains, the case tests the limits of the Supreme Court’s landmark case, Brady v. Maryland, relating to prosecutors’ suppression of exculpatory evidence.
