June 9 — Starting July 1, the Securities and Exchange Commission Division of Corporation Finance will release letters relating to 1933 Securities Act registration statements that are not selected for review.
In a June 5 announcement, the SEC said such correspondence generally is not publicly released without a Freedom of Information Act request. It said that to “further increase the transparency” of Corp. Fin.'s filing review program, the staff will begin releasing “no-review” letters for registration statements that have an effective date of June 1 or later.
The announcement is available at http://www.sec.gov/corpfin/announcement/cf-announcement---no-review-letters.html.
