Dan Sedor, a Partner in the Los Angeles office of Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP, is an experienced litigator and trial lawyer whose practice focuses on complex business disputes, including the prosecution and defense of breach of contract, business tort, fraud, trade secret and unfair competition claims, hotel management disputes, partnership and corporate disagreements and dissolution, attorneys' fee disputes, and the enforcement of creditors' rights.

He is a co-author of Bloomberg BNA Corporate Practice Portfolio Series No. 86, Records Retention for Enterprise Knowledge Management.  This portfolio explains how and why businesses should create, review, and/or update their records retention plans to comply with the needs for proper records management and regulatory requirements in today's world of electronic data.  It also discusses the reasons for records retention and how to implement a records retention plan, including doing so in the electronic age under the electronic discovery-related amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. The portfolio also takes into consideration security and privacy issues under acts such as Sarbanes-Oxley and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
